So - which ass-kicking boots do I buy?

All in the Family

Amanda has this blouse, my sister has this blouse, and I will soon have this blouse. So, given its popularity, it seemed logical to share the blouse with you, the public at large. In Amanda's case, the blouse came her way as the spoils of photo shoot. (I want a job where you get pretty blouses for free. I get things like books on disruptive innovation or conflict resolution tool kits.) My sister, a fishmonger (not really, but it's a profession that doesn't get enough press and is fun to say), had to purchase it for herself and, as it turns out, for me as a birthday present.
Look at the cute gimmick, I mean detail, on the sleeves:

I think this top looks absolutely adorable paired with the walking shorts in the first picture, but I know that if I wore those to my office, it would not be the win-win-win situation - more like a "go home and change, young lady" situation. Disruption has its time and its place, apparently.

The Big Cover-Up

This is a life of confusion. Dresses are shirts. Shirts are dresses. Pantyhose are pants. (Well, that last statement may apply only to Lady Gaga, a very talented young woman who is not in any way desperate for all the attention she can direct to herself via her barenaked bottom.) So why can't a cover-up be a tunic, 'tunic' being the word you use for something that may be a shirt or may be a dress, but you're not really sure, and you're not shopping at Forever 21, where they thoughtfully identify the clothing category for you on the hang tag?

Sunny Daze

Finally, finally, finally! Warm, warm, warm! I'm nearly giddy with excitment. Quick, we must show the gods our appreciation for this lovely sunshine. Do so by buying these $40 sandals - quick while the $10 coupon is still good!

Ruffles and Snuffles

I don't know about where you work, but where I work the temperature ranges from icy to frigid, even when outside it ranges from icy to sauna. And, all that unnecessarily cold air makes me sniffly. This is where layering comes into play. I love this $10 lightly ruffled cardigan over an Amanda-type dress and or with a pencil skirt and lacy tank. Under a big giant down stadium coat. It is too a look.

Tote-ally Summer

I am continuing to will summer into being. As part of that exercise, I will purchase this white tote. It's what I expect someone would wear when they grab the jitney out to the Hamptons - an experience I never had, because I never felt the burning need to spend thousands of dollars to fight with 16 other half-shares over whose job it was to bring the toilet paper. Still, if you were the one resonsible for bringing the tp, this would be the tote for the job.

Bearded Lady

Ok, so maybe this isn't the usual sort of item we post here on Luckier. But it's on sale for $25. And I'm pretty sure I need one.

Cami Triple Whammy

Summer's coming, and you're going to need more camis. Of course, if winter was coming, I would tell you the same thing, because they're great for layering purposes. So buy a lot. Especially since you can get 3 for $10.

That's Toile, Folks

I see all these nice black and white toile bedroom accessories, but I really can't head down that path, not so soon after converting my bedroom to its current chocolate brown theme. Doing so would make my apartment view me as flighty and indulgent (today's use of the term 'indulgent' is brought to you by American Idol). I can however indulge in this $25 dress, and, with luck, get this toile envy out of my system.
